This is a development and community site for Plone users at UCLA. This site is now open to everyone.
What is Plone?
Plone is an Open Source Content Management System (CMS) that is built using Zope, an object oriented application server. The language that drives Zope and Plone is Python.
Who uses Plone?
It is currently being used by the CIA, Google, Ebay, Disney, Motorola, HP, NASA, and the government of New Zealand among many others.

What platform does Plone run on?
Plone is 'technology neutral' can interoperate with most relational database systems, open source and commercial, and runs on a vast array of platforms, including Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris and BSD.
